3 Ages of Man

(download)

I like to think that this is the same bearded man who has invented a time machine and arranged that three ages of himself would meet up in Jack Kerouac Alley.

You might just say "But Pete, this is clearly just 3 different bearded men, ripped off their tits and totally incapable of inventing anything, let alone something as intricate as a time machine".

Fog City Diner

Fans of Mike Myers may know this place from 'So I married an axe murderer'. I just know it is a great restaurant with a good atmosphere and lovely food. Sat on Embarcadero, this old style diner is really classy inside and does magic stuff like seafood cioppino (seafood stew with crab, clams, mussels, squid and white fish) and a brown cow (root beer float). Don't ask for a hot towel for your messy hands as this may lead the waitress to drop plates and get grumpy. In my personal experience, anyways

Coit Tower

The view from up here is amazing. The pictures say it all really. My tip: get the number 39 bus up Telegraph Hill to the tower, the stairs look like they'd kill you.

There was no suicidal tiger at the top (a joke there for all the fans of the Eddie Murphy version of Dr Dolittle).

826 Valencia Street in the Mission district is the world's only known Pirate Supply Store. Yaarrrrr. I was very excited to go as I had heard wonderful things about a little character called Karl. He is or rather was a puffer fish. On the 826 website he lives. I was disappointed.
Here is my Ode to Karl.

Five thou, two hundred
and twelve miles travelled to find
Karl died last year. Feck.

As you can see I have gone with the traditional Haiku for this.

Watching this cheeky guy calmed me down. I am unsure if he has a name, but i'd like to think he would be an Arthur.

Guess where we are now?

Although taking in to account the time difference, guess where we were twelve hours ago just before you went to bed last night.

Time difference is so odd. It is especially weird here, 8 hours difference meaning that you are watching Neighbours as we are heading out for the day.
